Our Story Is Still Being Written.
How It All Started.
Every great move of God has a beginning — and ours started with faith, a vision, and a basement.
On May 22, 2022, Kingdom Center International was planted with one burning conviction: to build a family of believers who would impact the world for Christ. We gathered for the very first time in the basement of the DoubleTree Hotel — a small space filled with big faith and even bigger dreams. God showed up, lives were touched, and something powerful was set in motion.
It didn't take long before that basement could not contain what God was doing. We moved upstairs to the ballroom — and kept growing.
God Kept Moving — And So Did We.
As our family grew, so did our need for space. God opened the door to the Science Spectrum, where we continued to worship, serve, and watch lives be transformed week after week. Every location was a reminder that the church is not a building — it is a people. And this people was on the move.
From there, God led us to the Parkway Summerville Center, another temporary home where He continued to add to our family, deepen our roots, and expand our vision for what KCI could become.
Where We Are Today.
Today, Kingdom Center International meets at 9810 Indiana Ave, Suite 150 — inside the Story Church building right here in Lubbock. It is our current home and we are grateful for it. Every Sunday we fill this space with worship, the Word, and a whole lot of love for this city.
We are still believing God for a permanent home — a place to plant deep roots and build something that will serve Lubbock and beyond for generations to come. We are praying, planning, and trusting that the same God who has moved us every step of the way is already out ahead of us preparing what is next.
What Has Never Changed.
Through every location — from a hotel basement to where we stand today — one thing has remained absolutely constant:
Our heart to reach people. Our passion to make heaven crowded. Our commitment to let the Holy Spirit lead every single step.
No matter where we gather, KCI is a family that loves deeply, serves boldly, goes beyond four walls, and shares the Gospel with everything we have. We take the church to the streets, meet the needs of our community, and believe that every life we touch is one more reason we exist.
Three Years In — And We Are Just Getting Started.
What God has done in three years is nothing short of remarkable. But we believe the best is still ahead. New lives to reach. New blocks to serve. New disciples to raise up. New ground to take for the Kingdom.
We are grateful for every step of the journey — and we cannot wait to see where God leads us next.
